CBDT issues Notification no S.O. 2033(E) dated 24th June, 2020 on Taxation & Other Laws, further extending the time limits for various compliances. Notification to come into force from 30th June, 2020 & is available at:

Some of the major changes announced which have an impact on NGOs are:

a) Further extension of due date for TDS return for the quarter ending March 2020 from 30.06.2020 to 31.07.2020.
b) The due date of issuance of TDS Certificates have also accordingly been extended to 15th August, 2020. c) The due date for filing income Tax Return for the FY 2018-19 has been further extended to 31st July, 2020 from 30th June, 2020.
It is to be noted that, the earlier this financial year,
d) The due date for Vivaad se Vishwas Scheme was already extended to 31.12.2020
e) The implementation of new rules for renewal of registrations under Section 12AA and 80G was also extended to 01st October, 2020
f) The due date of filing tax audit report (i.e. Form 10B) and income tax returns for FY 2019-20 was also extended to 31st October, 2020 and 30th November, 2020 respectively .
